Building a Safer Street for Everyone
Daytime Paving South of the Woodland Trail

On Thursday June 25th, they will pave the east side of the road between the Woodland Trail and the south entrance to Home Depot.

Nighttime Base Paving on Fones Road Resuming June 29th
On Monday, June 29th, crews will continue nighttime base paving along the north end of Fones Road, with some work occurring at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Fones Road. This work is expected to take four to five weeks to complete. Westbound traffic turning left from Pacific Avenue onto Fones Road will be reduced to a single lane to accommodate paving. This work will be conducted overnight from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. to help prevent daytime congestion along Pacific Avenue. Please plan for possible delays and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area.
Concrete Work will also be Completed During the Day
For the period of June 29th through Thursday July 16th concrete crews will pour sidewalk curbs and ADA access ramps during the day. Concrete crews will work a normal day shift from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
What to Expect
  • Paving will occur during regular nighttime hours, generally from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Concrete work will occur during regular day hours, generally 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • A single lane of traffic in both directions will be maintained at all times
  • Emergency vehicles and school buses will be allowed to pass through the work zone.
  • Reduced lanes on Fones Road will remain in place through the end of construction, currently scheduled for fall 2026.
