Company also recently earned Best of State award for telecommunications excellence

ST. GEORGE, Utah (June 11, 2026) - TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has earned top recognition in Canyon Media's 2026 Best of Southern Utah awards, highlighting its continued commitment to delivering reliable services and supporting local communities across the region.

In this year's contest, TDS received Gold for "Best Internet Provider" and Silver for "Best Telecom Provider" and "Best Community Partner." The Gold recognition marks the fifth consecutive year TDS has been recognized as a top provider in either the internet or telecom categories.

In addition to its strong showing in Southern Utah, TDS also recently earned statewide recognition as a 2026 Best of State medal winner in the telecommunications category-its first time receiving the honor. The Best of State Awards recognize organizations that demonstrate innovation, achievement, and a meaningful impact on quality of life across Utah.

"Being recognized at both the state and regional level reflects the dedication of our teams to deliver exceptional service while supporting the communities we serve," said Drew Petersen, senior vice president of Corporate Affairs at TDS Telecom. "These honors reinforce our commitment to helping Utah communities thrive."

TDS' success comes after long-term investment in its network and communities. Since 2013, the company has invested more than $165 million in its fiber-backed infrastructure serving Southern Utah communities, helping deliver internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second, with faster speeds available in select areas.

Beyond connectivity, TDS continues to support the community. Through its partnership with the Washington County School District Foundation, TDS helps strengthen local education initiatives. As a sponsor of the Fore the Kids Golf Tournament, the company funded 10 classroom grants totaling nearly $9,000, along with a $4,354 grant supporting STEM learning opportunities.

TDS associates regularly volunteer with local organizations focused on education, food security, veteran support, and community well-being. TDS proudly employs over 100 people in Utah with family-sustaining careers and provides four hours of paid volunteer time each quarter through its Be Good Citizens program.
