Shaheen Statement on Passage of Continuing Resolution to Avoid Government Shutdown in Fall

"I'm relieved that the Senate came together to pass a continuing resolution on an overwhelming bipartisan basis that will avoid a government shutdown in the fall that would hurt Granite Staters. While stop-gap funding bills can create inefficiencies within government that sow uncertainty in the economy, this step represents a reasonable path forward that will allow time for Republicans and Democrats to reach an agreement on a realistic appropriations package that works for the American people.
