Wrong Way Driver Detection Maintenance and Recertification on Route 7 and 6 in Danbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that wrong way driver detection preventative maintenance and recertification will be performed on Route 7 and 6 in Danbury on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

The locations included are listed below:

  • End of Route 7 Southbound in Danbury
  • Route 6 Westbound in Danbury
  • Route 7 southbound at Exit 8 in Danbury

The project 0170-3638 consists of wrong way driver detection preventative maintenance and recertification across District 4. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m.- 5:00 a.m.

This project is being performed by State Forces, TAPCO, Fiber Optics Plus and Electrical Representatives.
