New Ohioans for Lower Costs Ad Takes a Swing at Ramaswamy's Swing

As the Cleveland Guardians make a run for the American League pennant, the DGA-backed group Ohioans for Lower Costs is releasing a new ad - "Embarrassing" - that leads off with billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy's widely-mocked batting-cage video before driving home how his agenda would raise costs for Ohio families.

WATCH:

Ramaswamy's stance on the issues is even worse than his stance in the batter's box, so it's no wonder Ohioans are balking at supporting him. His campaign has been riddled with errors as he continues to pitch costly ideas that would leave hardworking Ohioans stranded as he lines his pockets - including calling Medicare and Medicaid "mistakes," and pushing a tax scheme so off-base that even Republican Gov. Mike DeWine called it out as "absolutely devastating."

Ramaswamy also continues to field questions about a shady business record that includes an alleged pump-and-dump scheme that promised false hope to Alzheimer's patients and reportedly ripped off pension funds, all while he walked away $260 million richer.

"Everything about Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign proves he isn't ready for the big leagues, from his sketchy business record to his scammy policies that would make life more expensive for everyday Ohioans," said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. "There's no lying in baseball, and the facts are clear: Ramaswamy is a self-serving billionaire who would make life more expensive for everyone but himself and his billionaire buddies."
