Miller Supports Law Enforcement

Joe Biden flung the southern border of the United States wide open. Millions of illegal immigrants poured into the country, overwhelming local, county, and state government resources and costing taxpayers billions of dollars. Out-of-control illegal immigrant crime like gang activity, carjacking, theft, assault, sexual assault, and murder is dominating headlines and disrupting life for American citizens.

JB Pritzker is gaslighting Illinois citizens and is trying to push a false narrative which is creating more violence, specifically against federal agents working to clean up his mess in Illinois. I stand with ICE and support their mission to protect American citizens.

JB Pritzker Needs Removed from Office

Governor JB Pritzker has become a clear and present danger to the people of Illinois. His reckless words, calling for nationwide protests, disruption, and even encouraging his radical followers to be "street fighters," are not just irresponsible - they are dangerous. Read more HERE.

How To File a Witness Slip

Witness slips are a vital piece of the legislative process. Before a bill is heard in committee, the chairperson will read who has submitted witness slips and whether they support or oppose the bill.

Veto Session begins next week, so if you oppose a bill, let your voice be heard!

GOP Wants A Strong Energy Plan for Illinois

The Democrats Don't

State lawmakers are headed back to Springfield on October 14 for fall veto session.

High on the priority list for Democrats is a 818-page bill, SB25 House Amendment 2, which adds more bureaucracy to energy procurements, requires ratepayers to pay for expansive and unreliable grid-scale batteries, and legislates rate increases.

On Thursday the Senate Energy and Public Utilities Committee had a hearing on the bill and on Friday, the House Executive Committee had a hearing on the bill. They are gearing up to slam this bill through during veto session.

My colleague, State Rep. Brad Halbrook asked if the sponsor could assure the bill would lower costs.

There was no assurance that electric bills will decrease.

Republicans want to get Illinois' energy policies headed in the right direction. This includes, but is not limited to, allowing large modular nuclear reactors to be built and reinstating the use of our coal power plants.

State Senator Li Arellano weighs in on some other considerations in this article:

The Cleanup Continues

Operation Midway Blitz (targeting Illinois and Chicago) has produced more than 800 illegal immigration arrests thus far. Among those arrested, federal police from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Border Patrol apprehended gang members and criminals convicted of statutory rape, fraud, aggravated criminal sexual assault, domestic violence, and other serious offenses.

The FBI confirmed that its agents assisted the Border Patrol in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood. A total of almost 300 agents targeted 6 people associated with the dangerous Venezuelan gang 'Tren de Aragua'.

Subsequently, the Department of Homeland Security sent a memo to the Department of War seeking the deployment of 100 military troops to Illinois to provide protection for ICE personnel and facilities

No Chicago police officers took part in the operation, but some Illinois sheriffs would like to participate in defending their communities in this effort. Illinois' TRUST Act restricts state law enforcement officials from cooperating with federal officers on civil immigration matters. Of the 28 sheriffs surveyed by the Medill Illinois News Bureau, 25 said they would adhere to the TRUST Act because it is the law, but 17 of those sheriffs expressed reservations because of the questionable purpose of the TRUST Act.

This article goes into the details behind the questioning and skepticism of the TRUST Act:

Pritzker Has A Problem with Telling the Truth

J.B. Pritzker played a big role in the Democrats' scandalous coverup of President Biden's mental decline. He even became vicious, attempting to smear a respected special prosecutor for concluding that Biden was too impaired to stand trial.

A link in this article takes you to the full back story:

https://markglennon.substack.com/p/pritzker-who-now-says-trump-has-dementia

Now, (if not more dishonest and disturbing), Pritzker is comparing President Trump to Vladimir Putin and wants him removed from office claiming that the current president has dementia.

How does this governor LIE so easily and consistently? It is truly stunning.

In response to President Trump sending troops into cities to get violence and crime under control, Pritzker said last week, "There is something genuinely wrong with this man, and the 25th Amendment ought to be invoked".

No Governor, the president is stepping in because YOU failed. President Trump is genuinely concerned with the safety and security of all Americans- including those in Illinois.

Pritzker Treats Criminals Like Gold

A serial 'porch pirate' has been stealing packages from suburban porches for months, because he keeps getting released from jail. Finally, tired of the outrageous situation, a man planted a stack of fake delivery packages to lure the thief and then confronted him with a gun.

Citizens should not have to take matters into their own hands because Governor Pritzker's SAFE-T Act is keeping criminals on the streets.

But what do you expect from a governor who is backed by a Democrat Supermajority legislature and a hyper-partisan Democrat-run state administration? Illinois' attorney general is among 21 nationwide jurisdictions suing the Trump administration for denying federal funds to help victims of violent crimes who are illegal immigrants:

Governor Pritzker cares more about the protection of illegal immigrants than he does about keeping Illinois citizens safe. 37-year old Megan Bos disappeared earlier this year and after weeks of searching, her body was found in a container behind the home of an illegal immigrant north of Chicago. Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez, an immigrant residing in the U.S. illegally from Mexico, was released by Lake County Judge Randie Bruno at the conclusion of his initial court appearance because of Illinois Democrats' reckless bail reform laws.

During a press conference last week, Pritzker blasted the presence of federal immigration officers in Illinois calling it a "war on our people".

Who ARE 'his people' exactly? Clearly not law-abiding Illinois citizens.

Unimpressive Superintendents Are Being Handily Rewarded

There is no consistent compensation system for Illinois school superintendents. The burden of their salaries and underwhelming performances is being placed on property taxpayers, students and teachers. Other states with larger districts serving more students and more schools also, on average, spend less on district-level administration and place lower burdens on homeowners through property taxes.

Illinois property taxes are now the highest in the nation.

Meanwhile, the miserably failing Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is already putting out the narrative that they will need more money for their 2027 budget if they're expected to do their job. They are asking for the public to help them push their agenda:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/local/2025/09/15/illinois-education-board-seeks-ideas-for-2027-funding-priorities/86057642007

Advocacy groups like this are attempting to shore up ISBE's campaign:

https://fundingilfuture.org/

Still, the student struggle continues.

Public education advocacy group, Advance Illinois, says most Illinois students are not academically proficient, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress. Student performance is abysmal at best, and enrollment continues to decline, yet Illinois taxpayers are spending about $19,000 per student statewide, and Governor Pritzker said his administration has increased its commitment to students by more than $2.8 BILLION. The education budget for the 2025-26 school year is a record high $11.2 billion.

So, where is all the money going? Clearly the students are not benefiting from it.
