Claflin University Alumna Latica 'Tish' Archie-Oliver Inducted into National Black College Alumni (NBCA) Hall of Fame

Nov 11, 2025

Latica 'Tish' Archie-Oliver was among the 15 distinguished inductees into the National Black College Alumni (NBCA) Hall of Fame last recently during the organization's 40th Anniversary at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Archie-Oliver, a Class of 2000 Claflin alumna, is the Chief Inclusion & Belonging Officer at Gap Inc. where she leads with purpose, precision, and a deep belief in the transformative power of inclusion. In this global role, she is the architect of a people-first, digitally enabled, and future-focused strategy that is boldly advancing Gap Inc.'s purpose of bridging gaps to create a better world.

Archie-Oliver joined a diverse and impressive list of Class of 2025 honorees who exemplified the event's theme - "40 Years Strong. A Legacy Built. A Legacy Rising" -- through their innovation, leadership and excellence in the arts, science, government, entertainment, business and other industries and professions.

In 2024, Archie-Oliver launched a bold enterprise-wide Inclusion & Belonging strategy, grounded in the lived experiences of employees, the voices of customers, and the needs of the communities Gap Inc. serves. Her vision is clear: to create a culture where every person is seen, heard, valued-and given the resources necessary to succeed.

Archie-Oliver has over 25 years of experience across financial services, consumer packaged goods, and luxury retail. She has consistently broken barriers and built bridges. At Citi, she pioneered the organization's first-ever Diversity Recruiter role, removing structural obstacles and opening doors for underrepresented talent and military veterans. She carried this innovation forward at Colgate-Palmolive and Tiffany & Co., where she also established and scaled foundational Employee Resource Groups. As Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Officer for Unilever North America, Archie-Oliver amplified the company's platform as a force for good-spearheading campaigns such as Dove's partnership with Jack and Jill of America and leading advocacy for the CROWN Act, ending race-based hair discrimination.

A lifelong servant leader, Archie-Oliver is equally committed to shaping the future beyond the walls of the workplace. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, The Links, Incorporated, and Jack and Jill of America. She holds a bachelor's degree from Claflin University, an MBA from American Intercontinental University, and an Advanced Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University. She is also certified in the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).

Archie-Oliver's numerous accolades include being a Mindr's 2023 Woman of Influence and one of Savoy Magazine's Most Influential Executives in Diversity & Inclusion. She was also featured in Sustainability Magazine's 2024 Top 10 Chief Diversity Officers. Through her work, Archie-Oliver is not only reimagining what inclusive leadership looks like, but she's also reshaping what's possible when inclusion becomes the foundation of how we hire, grow, and lead.
