2024 Bronco Game Day Reminders

As we kick off another season of Boise State football games, the Boise Police Department (BPD) has a few important reminders for a safe and enjoyable game day experience:
- Do Not Drink and Drive: Make sure to arrange for a designated driver or use alternative transportation if you plan to consume alcohol.
- Alcohol Consumption: If you choose to drink, do so only in designated areas. The 10 to 10 Zone is in effect for home games.
- Open Containers: Public areas outside the 10 to 10 Zone, including parking lots and neighborhood streets, do not permit open containers of alcohol. Officers will be vigilant for underage drinking and adults providing alcohol to minors.
- Be Respectful: Use crosswalks, dispose of litter properly, and be considerate of neighbors and businesses.
- Parking: Park legally and safely to avoid tickets or towing. Follow all posted signs and regulations.
- Bag Policy: To expedite stadium entry, please leave bags at home as Boise State enforces a clear bag policy.
10 to 10 Zone
The 10 to 10 Zone permits alcohol consumption for those 21 and over from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on home game days in the following area:
Boundary area:
- Starts at Broadway Avenue and Myrtle Street
- Extends south on Broadway to Beacon
- West on Beacon to Oakland Avenue
- North on Oakland to Potter Drive
- West on Potter to South Joyce Street
- North on Joyce to University Drive
- West on University to Capitol Boulevard
- North on Capitol, east on Cesar Chavez Lane
- Crosses Friendship Bridge to Julia Davis Park
- Within Julia Davis Park, east of Zoo Boise to Broadway Avenue and south of the pond
Important Note: Only opaque plastic cups are allowed; glass containers, cans, and labeled bottles are prohibited. The boundaries are strictly enforced.
Parking:
Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the following lots on Boise States's Campus:
- Lincoln Avenue Garage
- Brady Street Garage
- Grant East/West lots
Parking is also available downtown and there is a free Game Day Shuttle that takes fans to the east side of Albertsons Stadium just off Broadway Avenue. For pickup locations click here.
Parking in the neighborhoods is extremely limited. To maintain safety and compliance with local codes, avoid parking in the following locations:
- Less than 30 feet from a stop sign or yield sign
- Less than 20 feet from a crosswalk
- Less than 15 feet from a fire hydrant
- On a sidewalk
- On yellow or red "no parking" curbs
Vehicles blocking driveways, hydrants, or parked illegally risk being towed.
Parking in Parks: The Boise Police and Parks and Recreation Department wants to remind football fans that all vehicles must be parked legally within Julia Davis Park, Ann Morrison Park, Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial Park, and Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park for Boise State home football games.
- Parking for Boise State home games is free on a first come, first served basis in city parks. Free parking is available at each park listed until 9 a.m. the following morning for home games only.
- Towing will be delayed at Julia Davis Park, Ann Morrison Park, Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial Park and Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park until 9 a.m. the following morning regardless of the game's kickoff time.
- Vehicles must be parked in a designated parking space. Cars parked on a yellow curb will be towed.
- Glass beverage containers are prohibited in all City of Boise parks. Any other glass must be removed from the park by visitors and can't be deposited in the trash.
- Alcohol consumption is allowed inside the 10 to 10 zone within Julia Davis Park, but alcohol policies vary at other park locations including Ann Morrison Park and Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park. Limited reservation sites are also available for a fee and in some cases, a permit is needed for alcohol consumption at reserved shelters.
