Hoover Convenes Congressional Staff In Palo Alto For Policy Briefings

Twenty-four legislative staff from the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Congressional Research Service joined Hoover fellows in Palo Alto over August 24-25, 2026, for two days of discussions on the most pressing policy issues confronting the United States today.

Participants heard from more than a dozen Hoover fellows on a wide range of domestic and international topics. Briefings covered the war in Iran, national security and artificial intelligence, global and domestic energy, biotechnology, healthcare, and education.

Now in its 19th cohort and celebrating its 10th year, the semiannual Congressional Fellowship Program brings Capitol Hill to Hoover, introducing congressional staff to the Institution's scholars and research to inform their work navigating complex policy issues in Washington, DC.

The next iteration of the Congressional Fellowship Program is scheduled to take place over March 22-23, 2027.
