The Brazilian government has concluded negotiations that will allow the export of new products to Costa Rica, Mexico, and Nicaragua.
In Costa Rica, Brazil secured market access for the export of persimmons. In 2025, Brazil exported more than $137 million in agricultural products to the country.
In Mexico, local authorities approved Brazil's export of feed for ornamental birds and turtles. In 2025, more than $3.1 billion in Brazilian agricultural products were exported to the country.
In Nicaragua, Brazil obtained authorization to export shelled peanuts. Last year, Brazilian exports of agricultural products to the country totaled more than $73 million, with highlights including corn, rice, seeds, forestry products, and animal feed.
With these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved 616 market openings since the beginning of 2023.
These openings are the outcome of joint efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
