Two people were arrested and a firearm was seized following a shooting in North Portland.

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at approximately 6:15 a.m., officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau's North Precinct responded to reports of a shooting in the area of North Chicago Avenue and North Ivanhoe Street. When they arrived, officers learned that two individuals were driving through the area when two unknown men impeded their travel. As the couple drove away, one of the men fired in the vehicle's direction. Fortunately, neither of the two people in the vehicle were hit, but a parked car and nearby building were struck. After receiving good suspect descriptions, officers located and arrested the two involved men. They were transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) on the following charges:

Seized firearm

26-year-old Scout M. Cruikshank - Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

26-year-old Samuel L. Jamison - Multiple Warrants

Investigators seized a firearm and ammunition during the investigation that is ongoing.

PPB's Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) is asking anyone with information about this incident, or other shootings in the area, to submit a tip. The case number is 26-172298.
