HealthPartners receives national recognition for strides in sustainability

HealthPartners, a long-time leader in health care sustainability, has been recognized by Practice Greenhealth with 20 sustainability awards, including the System for Change award for the ninth year in a row. The organization also had five hospitals receive the Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award.

The Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award is Practice Greenhealth's highest honor for hospitals. Methodist Hospital, Regions Hospital, Lakeview Hospital, Amery Hospital & Clinic and Hudson Hospital & Clinic are leading the industry with innovation in sustainability, demonstrating superior programs and illustrating how sustainability is entrenched in their culture.

Other awards included:

• Amery Hospital & Clinic: Circle of Excellence in Water; Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award
• Hudson Hospital & Clinic: Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award
• Hutchinson Health: Greenhealth Partner for Change Award
• Lakeview Hospital: Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award
• Methodist Hospital: Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award
• Olivia Hospital & Clinic: Greenhealth Emerald Award
• Regions Hospital: Circles of Excellence in Waste, Food, and Energy; Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award
• Westfields Hospital & Clinic: Greenhealth Emerald Award; Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award
• HealthPartners: Circle of Excellence in Sustainable Purchasing

The awards were presented at the 2023 CleanMed conference in Pittsburgh.
