REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR CAMP IGNITE 2025: A SUMMER OF PARC ADVENTURES
Lafayette, LA - Lafayette Consolidated Government's Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture (PARC) Department is now accepting registrations for Camp Ignite 2025, a five-week summer camp filled with adventure, creativity, and outdoor fun for children ages 5 to 14.
Camp Ignite will run from June 9 through July 18, with camp closed the week of June 30 to July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Camp hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Girard Recreation Center (500 Girard Park Drive).
The cost is $125 per camper and includes daily healthy snacks and lunch. Activities feature outdoor games, arts and crafts, STEM projects, and water fun days-designed to keep kids engaged and unplugged from devices in a safe and active environment.
Space is limited to the first 100 participants, and spots are expected to fill quickly.
"Camp Ignite is more than just a summer camp-it's a place where kids can explore, learn, and grow in a fun, safe, and active environment," said Tim Sensley, Director of Lafayette PARC. "Our goal is to provide families with an affordable option that sparks creativity, builds confidence, and encourages healthy habits, all while making unforgettable memories."
Registration is now open online. For more information, visit lafayettela.gov/camp or contact the PARC office by calling 337-291-8370 or emailing parc@lafayettela.gov.
