Caldecott Tunnel Overnight Closures on Eastbound State Route 24 Bore #1 Maintenance Activities

Tuesday June 23rd and Wednesday June 24th 10:00 PM-4:30 AM
Alameda and Contra Costa Counties - Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of Bore 1 of the Caldecott Tunnel on Eastbound SR-24 for Plenum floor coring operations and routine tunnel maintenance .
Closure Schedule for Bore #1 EB SR-24: 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM, Nightly
- Tuesday, June 23, 2026
- Wednesday, June 24, 2026
During these closures, all other bores in each direction will remain open. All work is weather dependent.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays, prepare to merge and allow extra travel time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
