Columbia County: I-20 reopened in both directions


Martinez, Ga. - The closure on Interstate 20 in Columbia County is no longer active.

I-20 was reopened to traffic near Exit 194/Jimmie Dyess Parkway shortly before 4:30 Sunday morning after being shut down in both directions more than nine hours due to law enforcement activity.

Georgia DOT encourages drivers to use Georgia 511 for continued up-to-date information about road conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
