Detectives from the Portland Fire Investigations Unit, a unit composed of personnel from both PF&R and PPB, believe the public may have video and photos that could aid in the investigation into the four-alarm fire at the Centennial Mills property.

Detectives are most interested in video and photos captured at approximately 3:50 p.m., just before fire crews arrived on scene. The public is not required to review the video, look for anything specific, or verify that it captured any activity. If they wish to help, they should just upload the raw footage or photos. Please do not edit, enhance, combine into "multiview," or otherwise alter the footage or photos. Please ensure it is in a standard file format and does not require a proprietary player. Detectives will review the video and photos for potential clues.

PPB has created a link where community members can upload videos and photos directly to the Fire Investigations Unit. PPB has also generated this QR code that can be scanned with a smartphone and will bring up the upload website.

There is no need to follow up with PPB or PF&R. A Detective may contact you at a later time if they have any questions. Please do not upload video from any other case. This link is reserved for the Centennial Mills fire only.

Further information will be released by PF&R when appropriate.
