Trinity to Launch Refreshed Brand and Redesigned Website in Fall 2026

Every day, someone meets Trinity University for the first time.

It might be a prospective student imagining their future, a parent searching for the right fit, or an alum reconnecting with a place that shaped them. Increasingly, that first impression of Trinity's brand begins online.

On August 1, Trinity will introduce a refreshed brand and a fully redesigned Trinity.edu - advancing how we tell our story and serve our community, said Tom Evelyn, vice president for Strategic Communications and Marketing.

"The redesign creates a more intuitive, accessible experience centered on the people who rely on it most: prospective students and their families, our alumni, and potential donors. The result will deliver a clearer, more connected digital journey that will help visitors find what matters most," Evelyn said.

In 2022, Trinity entered U.S. News & World Report's national liberal arts and science rankings at No. 55, and rose to No. 37 last year. Applications have hit all-time highs, topping 12,000 recently, while selectivity has risen to 25%, reflecting greater competitiveness. Meanwhile, the university reorganized into four schools, introduced its Ready. Set. Rise. strategic plan, and went public with a $300 million fundraising campaign.

"It was time to update our messaging and image, including our primary institutional logo and other visuals, so that how we portray Trinity to the world reflects our dynamic growth and ambition, our dedication to academic excellence, and our commitment to students, faculty, and staff," Evelyn said.

"Fortunately, Trinity has an excellent history and rich current and future stories to tell," he continued. "This work is about expressing who we are most effectively."

Many universities overhaul or refresh their brands every decade or so to stay fresh and relevant in a competitive environment. Trinity's institutional or academic logo, which includes the tower icon, was last redesigned in 2003.

To develop the website redesign and brand refresh, Trinity and its partners interviewed more than 200 students, faculty and staff members, alumni, and trustees. The project has also included extensive research and review of the Trinity archives, current communications and marketing materials, and peer and aspirant university and college websites and branding.

The new logo, in particular, harkens to the university seal - Trinity's most enduring symbol - and other historical Trinity marks. It also reflects O'Neil Ford's mid-century modern campus design, which is unique among universities and colleges.

Trinity athletics will continue to use the Tiger spirit logos.

"We sincerely thank everyone in the Trinity community who provided input and helped lay this important step in the university's path," Evelyn said. "We believe the logo, website, and our overall brand identity reflect the strength and momentum everyone has worked so hard to create."
