HANNIBAL - As early as June 12, contractor crews will begin pouring the bridge deck at the Routes E/Y and Interstate 70 interchange in Montgomery County, at Exit 183 in Jonesburg. To facilitate this work, the eastbound and westbound ramps will need to close to create a safe staging area for the concrete trucks assisting in the bridge deck pour.
Beginning at 2 a.m. on Friday, June 12, the interchange ramps will close according to the following schedule:
During this time, the interchange ramps will be closed and access to and from I-70 will be restricted. Eastbound and westbound interstate traffic will flow uninterrupted. I-70 ramp traffic and local traffic on Routes E and Y will need to utilize neighboring interchanges to reach their destinations.
Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
