Center for Vein Restoration Opens New Clinic in The Woodlands, Texas, Marking Continued National Growth

New location comes less than three months after CVR's partnership with Inovia Vein Specialty Centers marked the nation's largest physician-led vein care organization's first expansion into the Pacific Northwest

GREENBELT, Md. - Center for Vein Restoration (CVR), the nation's largest physician-led vein care organization, today announced the opening of a new clinic in The Woodlands, a community in the Greater Houston metropolitan area in Texas. The opening comes less than three months after CVR's partnership with Inovia Vein Specialty Centers marked the organization's first expansion into the Pacific Northwest, as demand for specialized diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic disease continues to rise nationwide.

The new location brings CVR's national footprint to more than 130 clinics across 23 states, reinforcing the organization's position as the country's leading physician-led network dedicated exclusively to vein and lymphatic care.

The Woodlands clinic is led by H. Andrew Hansen II, MD, a triple board-certified vascular specialist with more than 40 years of surgical experience and more than 15,000 cardiovascular, thoracic and vascular procedures to his name. Dr. Hansen also continues to see patients at CVR's existing Houston clinic.

The Woodlands opening builds on a stretch of rapid growth for CVR. In May, the organization partnered with Inovia Vein Specialty Centers, one of the Pacific Northwest's most established vein practices, marking CVR's first entry into Oregon and Washington. That partnership added six clinic locations and eight board-certified specialists serving Portland, Beaverton, Happy Valley, Hillsboro, Tigard and Bend, Oregon, as well as Vancouver, Washington. Inovia was founded by Edward M. Boyle, MD, and Andrew D. Jones, MD, FACS, and its physicians and care teams remain in place under the CVR banner.

CVR opened additional clinics earlier this year in Irving, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, led by fellowship-trained vein specialist Andrew Harding, DO, and in Canton, Georgia, led by fellowship-trained Aslan Amirian, MD.

Says Sanjiv Lakhanpal, MD, FACS, Founder, President and CEO of Center for Vein Restoration:

The Woodlands is exactly the kind of community we want to be in: growing quickly and in need of accessible, expert vein care. Opening this clinic so soon after welcoming Inovia to our network shows how quickly we can grow when the right physicians and communities come together. We're proud to bring Dr. Hansen's decades of experience to patients in the Houston area, and we're just as proud of the momentum this reflects for CVR as a whole.

The growth comes as vein disease remains widely underdiagnosed nationwide. More than 25 percent of U.S. adults are affected by chronic venous insufficiency, yet many patients attribute common symptoms, such as leg heaviness, swelling and cramping, to normal aging rather than a treatable medical condition. CVR's clinics offer minimally invasive, outpatient treatment options, including VenaSealâ„¢, sclerotherapy, radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser ablation and ambulatory phlebectomy, most of which take less than an hour and allow patients to resume normal activities the same day.
