Menlo Park, Calif. - On Friday, January 23, 2026, the Menlo Park Police Department, in partnership with the Redwood City Police Department and with support from the Atherton Police Department, East Palo Alto Police Department, and the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC), conducted a joint human trafficking enforcement operation in Menlo Park.
The operation focused on identifying individuals who may be victims of human trafficking, as well as those involved in facilitating the exploitation of persons through the solicitation of commercial sex.
During the operation, multiple adults were contacted as part of the investigation. Personnel from Rape Trauma Services (RTS) were on scene to provide support, resources, and referrals to individuals identified as potentially vulnerable or in need of assistance. Investigators also made contact with additional individuals who may be connected to ongoing human trafficking activity.
This operation underscores the continued commitment of local and regional law enforcement agencies to combat human trafficking, disrupt those who exploit others for financial gain, and connect potential victims with appropriate services and long-term support.
If you know or suspect someone is being trafficked, please call 9-1-1, your local police department, or the National Human Trafficking Hotline 1-888-373-7888.
