In meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, who is on a visit to Estonia today, President Alar Karis stressed the need to foster cooperation between Estonia and Armenia and to continue supporting Ukraine.
"Pressing ahead with reforms and further opening up Armenia are vital to its development," the head of state remarked. "Estonia fully backs Armenia's aspirations in building up a democratic state and moving closer to the EU. In particular, there are opportunities for us to work together in the fields of education and digital technologies."
During their meeting, President Karis and Prime Minister Pashinyan discussed the progress that has been made in terms of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and touched upon the security situation in the South Caucasus. They also spoke about Armenia's relations with Ukraine and ways of further boosting cooperation.
