Exciting Additions Coming to GSQ in Downtown Goodyear including First-of-its-Kind Restaurant Concept

Downtown Goodyear continues to take shape with new restaurants, services and a Pilates studio coming to GSQ, adding to the mix of places to eat, gather and spend time as the 150-acre mixed-use development evolves. Goodyear will soon be home to Paris Baguette, Zara Nail Bar, Handel's Ice Cream, Reformed Pilates, Berry Divine Acai Bowls and Magdaleña.

Magdaleña will be the first of these additions to open, introducing a new restaurant concept near McDowell Road and 150th Drive. The Phoenix-based restaurant group behind Pa'La Wood-Fired Kitchen and Tortas Paquimé, TPQ Foods, anticipates opening Magdaleña in late May. The restaurant will feature a Latin American-inspired menu and a fresh take on wood-fired cooking, with premium meats, fresh seafood and vegetable-forward dishes designed for sharing.

"We're excited to bring something special to Goodyear," said TPQ Foods Founder Omar Alvarez. "Everything we do we do with love and a lot of passion. I want to create at Magdaleña what you would feel when you go home - very cozy and welcoming."

"Magdaleña is exactly the kind of unique, high-quality dining experience we envisioned bringing to GSQ," said Globe Corp. Co-CEO George Getz. "As we continue to shape downtown Goodyear, our focus remains on creating a vibrant, walkable destination with a diverse mix of restaurants, retail and services. We excited for the community to experience Magdaleña."

"The continued growth at GSQ reflects the incredible momentum happening in downtown Goodyear," said Mayor Joe Pizzillo. "With a diverse mix of restaurants, retail, services and wellness offerings on the way, we're creating a vibrant destination where residents and visitors can gather, connect and enjoy everything our city has to offer. Each new business adds to the energy and helps shape a dynamic downtown experience that will serve our community for years to come."

The businesses on the horizon for GSQ will join a growing mix of businesses already open in downtown Goodyear, including Kura Sushi, Trader Joe's, First Watch, Dave's Hot Chicken, High Tide Seafood, Over Easy, Bacchus Wine & Debauchery, Banner Health and Avila University Arizona.

Other additional major tenants are planned to open throughout 2026 and 2027, including Nordstrom Rack, Fogo de Chão, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Black Rock Coffee Bar, CAVA, California Fish Grill, AC Hotels and VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group).
