The Major Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate a shooting in the 600 block of Toronto Street around 1:00 a.m. on September 18, 2026.
Police learned an altercation between a group of people and a man had occurred earlier outside of a hotel establishment on McPhillips Street. The parties went their separate ways and police received a report of a drive-by shooting on Toronto Street shortly after. The residence was vacant and nobody was injured.
A suspect vehicle (a white mini van) was spotted nearby, and a woman was taken into custody. A loaded firearm and bear spray was seized from the vehicle.
Karlye RICHARD, (33), was charged with the following offences:
She was detained in custody.
