Pueblo Police Department Investigates Seventh Homicide of 2025

On July 28, 2025, at approximately 9:08 a.m., the Pueblo Police Department received information on a possible shooting in the 600 block of E Arroyo Ave. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. The male was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Pueblo County Coroner will identify the deceased victim after the appropriate notifications.

Detectives with the Pueblo Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Division responded quickly to investigate the incident. This is an isolated incident and there does not appear to be a continued danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing with no determination of charges at the time of the release.

This marks the 7th homicide in 2025. A homicide is defined as the killing of one person by another. This classification does not indicate a determination of lawfulness.
