Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs holds a discussion with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia

On 27 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, held a discussion with H.E. Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, on the margins of the 25th ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting (AEMM) in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.

Both sides welcomed the consolidation of the ceasefire in alignment with the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special General Border Committee (GBC) on 27 December 2025. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to the Joint Statement to further de-escalate the situation and continue utilizing existing bilateral mechanisms to resolve differences effectively.

The discussion focused on ways forward for rebuilding mutual trust and understanding on the basis of good neighbourly relations, particularly ceasing the dissemination of misinformation and disinformation.
