The 2026 Honda Civic hybrid has been named the "Best Compact Hybrid Car" by U.S. News & World Report in the publication's 2026 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars Awards. Civic hybrid earned top honors in the Best Compact Hybrid Car class with the publication's editors strongly recommending both the Civic hybrid sedan and hatchback to buyers. The fun-to-drive Civic hybrid was honored for its unrivaled blend of performance, space, fuel efficiency and safety.
Civic hybrid is the electrified variant of America's most popular compact car, ranking at the very top of the industry with young buyers. Customers pay well below the industry average new-vehicle transaction price of $45,700 for Civic hybrid ($30,800) as Honda maintains the affordability of its productswhile continuing to make fuel efficiency a priority.
Honda continues a nearly 50-year history of fuel-efficiency leadership in the U.S. auto industry, with the highest fleet average fuel economy of all automakers producing a full lineup of gasoline-powered and electrified vehicles in America, according to the new 2025 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Automotive Trends Report.
