The City of Oceanside is asking residents to weigh in on three major plans that will shape our community's future-from where new homes and businesses go, to how we manage climate change, to what our major streets will look like in the future.
The City of Oceanside has updated three "big-picture" planning documents based on feedback from residents like you:
General Plan Update - This is Oceanside's master blueprint for growth. It confirms where development can take place, and protects neighborhoods and natural areas for the next 20+ years.
Smart & Sustainable Corridors Specific Plan- This plan focuses on making major streets (like Coast Highway and Oceanside Boulevard) more walkable, bikeable, and transit-friendly while adding housing and businesses near public transportation.
Climate Action Plan Update - Our roadmap for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to climate change, and making Oceanside more sustainable and resilient.

The City is requesting comments on the Draft Recirculated Program Environmental Impact Report (Draft RPEIR). This is a "recirculated" environmental report, meaning the City made significant changes based on your previous feedback.
