Washington, D.C.- U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-21) released the following statement following the passage of his defense funding requests that were included in theFiscal Year 2026 Defense Appropriations Bill, which provides a total discretionary allocation of $831.5 billion for the Department of Defense (DoD). The bill authorizes funding for military personnel, procurement, research and development, and health programs. It ensures combat readiness, innovation, and care for service members and their families.
"This bill is about making sure our nation's men and women in uniform have the best equipment, technology, and support we can offer," said Rep. Brian Mast. "We're sending a clear message that America backs our troops with more than just words as these investments will keep our military strong, our homeland secure, and reaffirms our commitment to those who serve us."
