City of West Hollywood Kicks Off Phase 2 of the Plummer Park Comprehensive Improvement Plan

The City of West Hollywood will kick off Phase 2 Visioning & Planning of the Plummer Park Comprehensive Improvement Plan with the first public working session of the Plummer Park Planning Working Group on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Plummer Park Community Center, Rooms 5 and 6, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard.

Phase 2 will build upon community input and the Phase 1 Needs Assessment to help shape a long-term planning framework for Plummer Park. The planning process will move from identifying community needs and priorities into program definition, planning studies, and visioning for the future of the park.

The Phase 2 Working Group is part of a staff- and consultant-led consultation process that brings together individuals with expertise in planning, design, infrastructure, construction, and park operations. Participants will contribute complementary expertise through public working sessions facilitated by City staff and SWA Group. Their input will help inform the project team's evaluation of park programming, priorities, tradeoffs, planning scenarios, feasibility, and implementation options, with a focus on Plummer Park and its users.

The Working Group's role is analytical, evaluative, and advisory only. It will not vote, issue formal recommendations, approve plans, or make final or binding decisions. SWA Group and City staff will develop the planning framework and draft plan for review by the City Council Ad Hoc Subcommittee and then the full West Hollywood City Council. Final direction and approvals remain with the City Council.

The first Planning Working Group session will serve as a Phase 2 kickoff and orientation, with introductions and an overview of the project, planning process, participant roles, session format, and next steps. It will be the first in a series of public working sessions through spring 2027.

Sessions will be open to the public and include opportunities for public input. Community members are encouraged to attend and stay informed. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.
