For Immediate Release
Rebecca GenelLos Angeles, CA, January 6, 2026-Roland announces the KF-20 and KF-25, the latest models in the company's respected KIYOLA line of artisan digital pianos. Crafted in Japan, the KIYOLA series represents the longstanding collaboration between Roland and the renowned artisans of Karimoku, expert Japanese wood furniture manufacturers since 1940.
The KF-20 and KF-25 integrate the latest Roland piano technologies within cabinets carefully crafted by Karimoku. Built with local techniques refined over a thousand years, every KIYOLA is a one-of-a-kind instrument with unique grain patterns and natural aging. Combining analog and digital, tradition and cutting-edge, KIYOLA exemplifies wa (和), the Japanese concept of harmony.
Based on the award-winning design of the KF-10-the original KIYOLA piano-the KF-20 offers a soft, elegant look with gentle curves. It's available in Pure Oak, Sheer White, and Walnut finishes, as well as a new Celadon Green option. This vibrant, modern finish was developed based on Karimoku's research and case studies, as well as perspectives from global design leaders.
With its sharp lines and right angles, the KF-25 evokes the best of two diverse cultures. The design style is known as Japandi, a fusion of austere Japanese wabi-sabi
(侘び寂び) and the effortless functionality of Scandinavian furniture. The deep-toned Smoked Oak finish enhances the natural wood grain and was selected to complement the instrument's clean, linear appearance.
Driven by Roland's advanced Piano Reality Modeling, the KF-20 and KF-25 produce warm, uniquely voiced tones to reflect their distinctive cabinets. The PHA-50 keyboard is the perfect match, offering a proprietary Roland design that delivers an authentic feel and deep expressive range inspired by the finest grand pianos.
Each KIYOLA model includes a piano bench and a three-pedal unit with sustain, soft, and sostenuto pedals, as well as support for advanced half-pedaling techniques. These premium accessories feature wood details that match the instrument's finish, creating a unified appearance.
