Business Management alumnus Felipe Pinto '25 is making a significant community impact in his hometown of Brockton, Massachusetts. As the leader of the Ventura Damon Youth Sports Foundation, Pinto recently helped spearhead the opening of a new soccer "mini-pitch" at Brockton's Mulberry Park.

The project, which was recently featured on WCVB, is a collaborative effort involving Pinto's foundation, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Massachusetts Youth Soccer, and the City of Brockton. And it is timed perfectly with the growing excitement for the 2026 World Cup matches coming to North America.

For Pinto, a former Wentworth soccer player, expanding access to the sport is a core mission. He founded the Ventura Damon Youth Sports Foundation to provide underserved youth across New England with uniforms, equipment, and safe places to play.

Pinto explained to WCVB that the smaller, cost-effective footprint of a mini-pitch is perfect for fast-paced, 5-on-5 play. "You can't depend on 9, 10, 11 people to play," Pinto said. "You have to use your skills in a very tight space."

Brockton officials noted that the success of the new Mulberry Park pitch has them considering similar installations in other underused parks across the city.

A Rising Talent On and Off the Field

This new athletic facility is just the latest milestone for Pinto. While studying at Wentworth, the first-generation college student developed his own clean-label sports drink, Elite Hydration, with the help of the university's Accelerate Co-op for Entrepreneurs (ACE) Program. Today, a portion of Elite's partnerships directly funds his foundation's community initiatives, bringing projects like the Brockton mini-pitch to life.
