Upcoming Planned Roadwork for Northeast Missouri, September 22 – October 3&com…

HANNIBAL - The following is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northeast Missouri region for the next few weeks.

All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.

Adair County

Business Route 63 Northbound - September 23, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from Brewington Avenue to Outer 63 in Kirksville between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Macon County

Route J - September 25, CLOSED for railroad crossing maintenance from East Grant Street to Santa Fe Avenue in Elmer between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Route V - September 22 - 25, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Mahogany Street to Oxford Street between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Monroe County

U.S. Route 24 - September 22 - 26, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work from Business Route 24 and Route A between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

Route EE - September 22, CLOSED for culvert replacement from U.S. Route 36 and CR 377 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Ralls County

U.S. Route 61 Northbound - September 17 - 26, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from Missouri Route 19 to Route M beginning Wednesday, September 17th at 7:00 a.m. and continuing to Friday, September 26th at 4:00 p.m. daily.

U.S. Route 61 Northbound - October 1, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from 1.0 mile before and after Spencer Creek between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place where crews are actively working.

Shelby County

U.S. Route 36 Eastbound - September 29 - October 3, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work from Business Route 36 to U.S. Route 36 at Salt River Bridge between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

Route Z - September 23 - 25 & 29, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Missouri Route 168 to U.S. Route 36 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Route JJ - September 30 - October 1, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from CR 250 to Missouri Route 168 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone.
