Saudi Broadcasting Authority showcases extensive media coverage of Hajj season 1446 AH

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) showcased its exceptional efforts in covering the 1446 AH Hajj season through a recently released documentary film. The film highlighted the extensive media work involved in conveying the sacred Hajj rituals to audiences worldwide, reflecting the Kingdom's distinguished role in serving millions of pilgrims.

Vice President of SBA, Khaled Al-Ghamdi, revealed that more than 14 television transport vehicles, 12 satellite trucks, and nearly 120 cameras were deployed across the holy sites to produce over 400 hours of live broadcasts on five dedicated channels. He also noted that pre-season training sessions were held for around 50 reporters, demonstrating the SBA's commitment to continuously developing and enhancing its coverage each year.

CEO of SBA, Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harithi, emphasised that the Hajj season was a unique event during which the Kingdom mobilised all its resources, viewing media coverage as both an honour and a national duty. He further noted that the coverage extended beyond local channels through cooperation with the Arab States Broadcasting Union and other regional organisations to deliver Hajj content to Muslim homes worldwide. These efforts were strongly supported by the Minister of Media, Salman Al-Dossary, ensuring coverage worthy of this great occasion.
