AFIA Seeks Industry Experts to Share Insights at 2027 Purchasing & Ingredient Suppliers Conference

The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is now accepting speaker and session proposals for its 2027 Purchasing & Ingredient Suppliers Conference (PISC), taking place March 16-18, in Orlando, Fla. Animal feed and pet food industry professionals with fresh perspectives, innovative ideas and practical expertise are encouraged to submit proposals by Nov. 13.

"PISC brings together some of the brightest minds in the animal food industry, creating an opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships and tackle the challenges facing our businesses," said Victoria Broehm, AFIA's vice president of member experience. "As we look ahead to 2027, we want to hear from industry experts who can challenge conventional thinking, share real-world experiences and offer actionable solutions that help our members build a stronger, more resilient future."

Centered around the AFIA's 2027 theme, "Resilient by Design," the conference will explore the emerging trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the animal food industry.

Proposed session topics may include:

• Ingredient markets, sourcing and economics.
• Supply chain management and logistics.
• Technology, innovation and artificial intelligence.
• Procurement strategies and business operations.
• Workforce development and leadership.
• Sustainability and global trade.
• Other emerging issues impacting the animal food industry.

The AFIA encourages submissions that are timely, educational and thought-provoking, with a focus on providing meaningful takeaways for conference attendees. Proposals should demonstrate the speaker's subject matter expertise and offer practical information relevant to purchasing professionals, ingredient suppliers and other industry stakeholders. Sessions intended primarily to promote a company, product or service will not be considered.

The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, Nov. 13. Submissions will be evaluated based on their relevance, timeliness, content and speaker expertise. Selected speakers will be notified by Nov. 27.
