Colorado Christian University Sets RMAC Record with 12th Sportsmanship Cup, Eighth Consecutive Win

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Colorado Christian University has once again distinguished itself within the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), earning the prestigious Sportsmanship Cup for a record-setting twelfth time - and an unprecedented eighth consecutive year.

Since the award's inception in 2006-07, no institution has claimed the honor more times than CCU. The Sportsmanship Cup is awarded annually to the RMAC member institution that best upholds the values of sportsmanship and ethical conduct as promoted by the conference and the NCAA. Voting is conducted by Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representatives and coaches, with a focus on the behavior and integrity of student-athletes and coaches throughout the season.

"We're thrilled to see our student-athletes receive this honor. It is a testament to their integrity and competitive excellence," said Athletic Director Jon Poag.

This milestone is more than a testament to athletic discipline - it reflects a foundational part of CCU's mission. As the University continues to grow in athletic competitiveness and excellence, its commitment to Christ-centered sportsmanship remains unwavering.

"At CCU, we believe athletics is about more than competition - it's about representing Christ well on every course, court, and field of play," said CCU President Eric Hogue. "Our student-athletes pursue excellence with Christlike character, showing that how we compete matters just as much as the outcome."

CCU student-athletes continue to model a culture of integrity, respect, and spiritual maturity, on and off the field - setting an example for the RMAC and for collegiate athletics as a whole.

Congratulations to all the student-athletes and coaches for faithfully living out the mission of Colorado Christian University.
