WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) released a statement from regarding the attack on U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar (MN-05) during a town hall event.
"I am deeply disturbed by the attack on Rep. Ilhan Omar during a town hall with her constituents," said Rep. Sykes. "No elected official should ever face violence or intimidation for participating in our democratic process. I am relieved that Rep. Omar is safe, and I unequivocally condemn political violence in all forms."
