Puducherry includes tuberculosis (TB) screening under the Family Adoption Programme (FAP). This is first-of-a-kind low cost model for screening of TB and can be scaled in regions where there is scarcity of resources. Under the FAP, MBBS students during their routine visits to allotted families, screen the members for symptoms suggestive of TB and use a novel tool to assess the vulnerability status of the members for TB.

Tamil Nadu releases the New Tariff Order for FY 26. The state regulator, Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) issued the revised electricity tariff to be made applicable from July 1, 2025. Certain categories of consumer have been exempt from tariff increase and the state government will compensate for the revenue loss to Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL).

Chhattisgarh issues the draft CSERC (Intra-State Deviation Settlement Mechanism and Related Matters) Regulations, 2025. The draft regulations issued by the state regulator, Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC), seeks to ensure, through a commercial mechanism that users of the grid do not deviate from and adhere to their schedule of drawl and injection of electricity in the interest of security and stability of the grid

Jharkhand issues the JSERC (Determination of tariff for procurement of power from solar PV power project and solar thermal power project) Regulations, 2025. The draft regulations issued by the state regulator, Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC), would apply to grid connected renewable energy projects whose tariff are determined by the regulator. In addition, these regulations would also apply to solar power projects, floating solar projects, solar thermal power projects, solar hybrid energy projects, and solar-plus-storage projects, subject to eligibility criteria specified in the regulation.

Karnataka unveils Mysuru Cluster Vision Document 2025. The document released at the Mysuru Big Tech Show is part of the state government's 'Beyond Bengaluru initiative'. The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) aims to develop Mysuru into a $10 billion digital economy by 2030, generating over 150,000 digital jobs, nurturing 2,500 innovation-led startups, and position Mysuru as a nationally leading emerging innovation cluster.

Andhra Pradesh unveils Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) Rules, 2025. The rules released by the state government to will govern the unique method of pooling land for building the greenfield capital city of Amravati. Farmers giving up one acre of dry patta land will receive a 1,000 sq yard residential plot and a 250 sq yard commercial plot. Those surrendering jareebu (irrigated) land will be allotted a 1,000 sq yard residential plot and a 450 sq yard commercial plot. Other benefits include annual annuity, monthly pension, one-time agricultural loan waiver, free education and healthcare for residents upon declaration of intent.

Bihar launches the Chief Minister Promotion of Readiness, Awareness and Technical Insights for Guiding Youth Advancement (CM PRATIGYA). The scheme released by the state government is a paid internship program and it aims to address youth unemployment and enhance industry readiness among students. The state government will provide a three-tiered financial support for students with higher secondary degree, ITI diploma degree, and graduate and post-graduate degree for a period ranging from three to twelve months.

Gujarat amends the Factories Act 1948. The Factories (Gujarat Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, notified by the state government aims to create more economic activities and employment opportunities. The notable changes include allowing the women to work night shifts between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. with prescribed safety measures, and increasing the maximum daily working hours from nine to twelve.

Haryana revises Wage Structures. The state government as part of an attempt to standardise and enhance compensation for workers employed through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam has introduced two salary slabs, one for employees earning monthly wage of INR 19,900 and the other for employees earning monthly wage of INR 24,100 to offer more transparency and equitable remuneration for part-time and hourly workers.

Telangana approves key changes to Labour Regulations. The state government has allowed employees in commercial establishments (excluding shops) to work up to 10 hours per day, with a cap of 48 hours per week and mandatory overtime pay for additional hours.

Uttar Pradesh approves formation of the 'Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Mission'. The mission will aim to provide 100,000 jobs in the country and 25,000-30,000 jobs abroad within a year to the youth from the state. Haryana constitutes the Seventh State Finance Commission. The commission shall make recommendations on the distribution of financial resources between the state government and local self-governing bodies for the period FY27 to FY31. The state finance commission has been constituted under provisions of the Article 243 I and 243 Y of the Constitution of India, section 213 of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 and rule 3 of the Haryana Finance Commission Rules, 1994.

Uttar Pradesh releases the draft Uttar Pradesh Building Construction and Development Byelaws, 2025. The draft byelaws released by the state government will reshape the way buildings are planned, approved, and developed across all 29 development authorities in the state. A few key changes proposed are removal of construction permits for small plots, automation of the approval process, and easing height and floor area ratio limits in key areas.

Chhattisgarh approves several key policy proposals. Kerala approves to set up a Guarantee Redemption Fund (GRF). The formation of GRF, proposed by the central government, is to manage the risks arising from guarantees extended by states to public sector undertakings. For the first time the formation of GRF is being included in the criteria for determining the borrowing limit of states.

Odisha establishes the Odisha Urban Design Hub (OUDH). The a specialised planning body under the Housing and Urban Development Department has been set up to push for sustainable urban development. The OUDH will serve as the apex institution for embedding design excellence and heritage preservation into Odisha's urban growth.
