Willkie advised Sagard on the sale of its majority stake in Sterimed Group, a leading provider of sterile medical packaging solutions, and its reinvestment in the company as part of a management-led consortium.
On May 22, Sterimed announced that it entered into an agreement to strengthen and reshuffle its capital base around its management team. Sagard, which, represented by Willkie, acquired a majority stake in Sterimed in 2019, invested in the company as part of consortium that includes the management team, IK Partners, and a club of new investors - Société Générale CP, Geneo CE, Capza and Investir pour l'Enfance - named "Friends of Sterimed."
Sagard Mid Cap is a French investment fund that provides equity capital to support the development of mid-sized companies led by ambitious teams.
