Ocala Marion Transportation Planning Organization Announces Request for Proposals for Community Transportation Coordinator

The purpose of this procurement is to identify a qualified responder to coordinate and oversee paratransit bus services for individuals who are transportation disadvantaged, helping ensure that eligible residents have access to safe, reliable, and customer-focused transportation.

The selected responder will be responsible for fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the CTC in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements, including coordination of transportation services, oversight of service delivery, and collaboration with local partners to address the transportation needs of Marion County's transportation disadvantaged population.

The TPO recognizes the importance of maintaining a dependable transportation system that supports access to employment, medical appointments, education, essential services, and other daily activities. This RFP represents an important step in securing a qualified provider capable of continuing to meet these needs and strengthening transportation coordination throughout the county.

County's transportation disadvantaged residents continue to have access to the services

The RFP outlines the qualifications, responsibilities, and requirements for organizations interested in responding. Interested parties are encouraged to review the solicitation carefully and submit their proposals in accordance with the instructions and deadlines established in the procurement documents.

A Selection Committee will evaluate submitted proposals in accordance with the established evaluation criteria and applicable procurement requirements. Following the selection process, the TPO will proceed with the necessary steps to recommend a qualified responder to the Florida Commission for Transportation Disadvantaged for consideration as Marion County's Community Transportation Coordinator.
