The Chambers Europe Awards recognize law firms which have made an outstanding contribution to their clients and the European legal profession over the past year.
Jiří Stržínek, Czech Republic Managing Partner at Dentons, commented, "We are honored to be named Law Firm of the Year in the Czech Republic. The award recognizes the outstanding talent of our Prague team, as well as their personal commitment to helping our clients achieve their business goals. We are deeply grateful to Chambers & Partners for this accolade, and to our clients and peers for their positive feedback."
Barlas Balcıoğlu, Managing Partner at BASEAK, said, "Our recognition as the top law firm in Türkiye reflects the team's work on many of the most important transactions, litigations and regulatory matters in the market in 2025. I am incredibly proud of our team in Istanbul and grateful to our clients for their loyalty."
In addition to the firm awards, Stefi Ionescu, Counsel in Dentons' Banking and Finance practice in Bucharest, received the individual DEI: Outstanding Contribution award. An advocate and role model for diversity, equity and inclusion, she helped design the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce's ED&I Certification Program and delivered pro bono legal advice to the Center for Reproductive Rights. In addition, she was recognized for her work in promoting LGBT+ rights as a member of GLOW (Dentons' LGBT+ affinity group) and as a board member of ACCEPT (an LGBT+ rights organization in Romania).
Stefi Ionescu commented, "I am deeply honored to receive this award and grateful to everyone who has supported and inspired me along the way. Promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, and advancing equal rights, are causes I care about profoundly, and I feel fortunate to contribute alongside so many dedicated colleagues and organizations. I am especially thankful to Dentons for fostering an environment where inclusion is valued and for encouraging meaningful pro bono work that creates opportunities to support important causes and underserved communities."
