NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Hon. Keith Bell, Minister of Housing and Urban Renewal, and the Hon. Lisa Rahming, Minister of State within the Ministry of Housing and Urban Renewal, welcomed the Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Nassau, Bahamas, Kimberly Furnish, September 19, 2024 in a courtesy call at the ministry's offices. The Minister expressed gratitude for the role the United States plays in The Bahamas.

Charge ďAffaires Furnish expressed her excitement to be in The Bahamas and her goal to improve bilateral relations, consular affairs and youth empowerment.

The Minister also led discussions upon other topics such as the impact of Urban Renewal, and the advancement of housing opportunities for Bahamians through his Ministry.

Other officials in attendance were Mr. Reginald Saunders, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Renewal, Co- Chairs for the Urban Renewal Commission the Rt. Hon. Algernon Allen, and Rev. Dr. Dianna Francis.
