Judicial Nominating Commission announces nominees for vacancy in District Court, Third Judicial District (Sweetwater County)

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Chief Justice Lynne Boomgaarden of the Wyoming Supreme Court, who serves as the chairman of the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC), today announced that the JNC has submitted three nominees to Gov. Mark Gordon to fill the judicial vacancy in the District Court of the Third Judicial District, chambered in Green River.

The JNC submitted its list of nominees after an extensive review of submitted materials and candidate interviews. Six individuals submitted applications to the JNC for this position. All six applicants were interviewed by the JNC at the Sweetwater County Courthouse in Green River.

The nominees submitted to the governor, listed in alphabetical order, are:

  • Jessica Frint
  • Jason Petri
  • Clark Stith

The Wyoming Constitution allows the governor thirty days to appoint one of the three nominees.
