TechNet Commends Bipartisan Legislation to Reauthorize Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act

Washington, D.C. - TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech CEOs and senior executives, today released the following statement from CEO Linda Moore regarding the introduction of the Protecting America from Cyber Threats Act by Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) and Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD):

"We thank Senator Peters and Senator Rounds for introducing the Protecting America from Cyber Threats Act , bipartisan legislation to reauthorize the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act , and make it apply retroactively to protect companies who share cyberthreat information during the current lapse," said Moore. "This bill is a vital step toward protecting our nation's critical infrastructure and mitigating cybersecurity risks across both the public and private sectors. TechNet supports voluntary, risk-based cybersecurity practices and remains committed to working with Congress and the administration to enhance America's cyber resilience and strengthen defenses against the growing wave of digital threats."
