Messmer Celebrates $200 Million Manufacturing Investment in Indiana’s 8th District

PRINCETON, IN - Today, Rep. Mark Messmer (R-IN) issued the following statement in response to Toyota Indiana's announcement of a $200 million investment in their Gibson County facility:

"Today's announcement that Toyota will invest $200 million to expand its production capacity at the Gibson County plant is tremendous news for Southwest Indiana and our whole state. Increasing production of the Grand Highlander will further strengthen a facility that already employs more than 7,300 Hoosiers. This welcomed news from Toyota reflects that international businesses recognize a community that is hard working and supports manufacturing. I will continue my efforts in Congress to advance policies that recruit economic investment, promote job creation, and expand opportunities for Hoosier families so the Eighth District remains competitive and prosperous."
