DEXSTA FCU Hosts Successful Spring Shred Event

DEXSTA Federal Credit Union hosted its first shred event of the year at its Prices Corner branch, bringing the community together in support of security, sustainability, and connection.

The event saw strong participation from members eager to safely and conveniently dispose of sensitive documents. In response to rising concerns around identity theft and fraud, DEXSTA provided a secure on-site shredding service, helping residents protect their personal information while also promoting environmental responsibility.

Attendees brought a wide range of materials to be destroyed, from old tax records to bank statements, all of which were securely shredded and recycled.

Following the shredding service, members enjoyed soft pretzels and had the opportunity to visit with DEXSTA team members. Guests also participated in the popular prize wheel, adding a fun and engaging element to the event. Many members shared their appreciation for the opportunity, noting both the convenience of the service and the added peace of mind in safeguarding their information.

DEXSTA was especially pleased to connect with long-time members, including those who have been with the credit union since its early days at the DuPont Experimental Station. Events like these continue to strengthen the relationship between DEXSTA and the communities it serves, reinforcing trust and long-standing goodwill.

DEXSTA Federal Credit Union will host its next shred event on Saturday, October 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its Elkton branch.
