The Defense Contract Management Agency expresses appreciation for DCAA auditors

By DCAA Staff Writer

Fort Belvoir, Va. -

The West Coast Branch Office recently audited a defense technology contractor's federal accounting system and uncovered noncompliance with both the Defense and Standard Federal Acquisition Regulations, requiring the contractor to take corrective action. Jessy Nelson was the senior auditor and Mark Reeder worked as the technical specialist on the case. The team discovered the contractor submitted invoices without the required cost accounting details across multiple contracts and system. Additionally, the contractor failed to apply the current approved provisional billing rates. The team collaborated with the Regional Special Programs Technical Division (RST) for technical support throughout the audit to ensure a thorough review. Both the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Special Programs and the Air Force Contracting Officer expressed their appreciation for the West Coast Branch Office's diligent work.
