​Ballot Packages Mailed Today​​​

The Municipal Clerk's Office for Elections announces that over 201,000 ballot packages are being mailed out today, March 17, 2026, to qualified registered voters for the April 7, 2026 Regular Municipal Election. Voters can anticipate receiving their ballot package in the mail by Tuesday, March 24, 2026. ​​

Ballot package contents include the following:

• Official ballot
• Voter Instructions
• Secrecy sleeve (which protects voter privacy)
• Ballot return envelope

1. Vote your ballot, filling in the ovals completely, place the ballot in the secrecy sleeve, then place both into the ballot return envelope.
   
2. Sign the declaration on the back of the ballot return envelope.
   
3. Return your ballot envelope in one of three ways: voters may (1) save on postage and place their ballot return envelope in one of the 18 Secure Drop Box located within the Municipality; (2) mail the ballot return envelope by using first-class postage through the United States Postal Service; or (3) bring the ballot return envelope to one of the three Anchorage Vote Centers. Additional Election Information

• The deadline to apply to receive a ballot at a temporary address is 5:00 p.m. March 31, 2026.
• Voters can sign up at www.anchoragevotes.com for ballot tracking to get alerts when the voter's ballot envelope reaches various points in the election process.
