(Washington, DC) - On Thursday, July 23 at 2 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will cut the ribbon on the newly renovated outdoor pool at the Rosedale Recreation Center in Ward 7. Originally opened in 1934 and rebuilt in 2012, the beloved neighborhood pool has once again been transformed through a $6.8 million renovation. Expanded by more than 1,400 square feet, the newly renovated 7,867 square-foot outdoor pool features six expanded swimming lanes for competitive swim, an interactive splash pad, upgraded filtration systems, new lifeguard stations, and other improvements that will give more residents a place to swim, learn, stay active, and cool down during outdoor pool season.
