Labor Day - Holiday

LAVC is closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Classes will resume and the campus will reopen on Tuesday, September 8.

There are two ways to audition: in-person auditions or self-tape submissions. In-person is encouraged and highly preferred. If you submit a self-tape, submit by 9/8/26 by 8:30 p.m.

Join us for a "The Search for Exoplanets" talk with guest speaker Dr. Heather Knutson from California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Exoplanets are planets orbiting other stars in our galaxy. Dr. Knutson will discuss the current efforts to identify planets similar to Earth that might host life. This event is free and open to the public.

Want to apply to transfer to Cal State University, Northridge for Spring 2027 admissions? Come to CSUN On-Site Admission Day to get assistance with your CSU application and meet with a CSU representative to review your admission requirements.
ASU Club Day
Tuesday, September 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Union Plaza
Join us for ASU Club Day to explore student clubs, meet club officers, and find new ways to get involved on campus. Events are open to all students. Students interested in joining a club should pay the $10 ASO semester fee. Free food for ASO-paid members.
Opening Reception for "A Racket of Banshees" Exhibition

Please join us for the opening reception of A Racket of Banshees: Goddesses and Monsters Re-Imagined . This exhibition invites viewers into a world of myth, feminist archetypes, and speculative futures. Association of Hysteric Curator members will perform at the opening reception.

"Oasis In Space" Planetarium Show
Friday, September 18 at 8 p.m. at the Planetarium
The "Oasis in Space" planetarium show is an exploration of water in our solar system, and examines the surprising places where water is present on other planets. The show includes a live "star talk", a tour using the SciDome Planetarium projector of celestial objects visible in the sky at this time of year. Tickets for sale at the door.
