Traffic Monitoring Station Repairs on I-84 in Danbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a traffic monitoring station loop repair project will be performed on I-84 in Danbury starting on Sunday, October 19, 2025. The traffic monitoring station has been identified and is need of repairs. Traffic data collected from these stations are utilized by the Bureau of Policy and Planning Traffic Monitoring Unit.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect left and right lane closures of I-84 in Danbury. Sign patterns and traffic control devices will be in place to move motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Monday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
